Kwik-Kliks Kits

Woohooo! I am trying something that I have always wanted to do and hopefully it works! I am making up some scrapbooking kits which will be available to purchase through my Kwik-Kliks website and my Kwik-Kliks Blog (and just for the hell of it I might just have a link on here to purchase them too!).

I am also hoping in the next month to make up some Scrapbooking themed Blog and Website headers as I found there are not a vast amount to purchase online. These will also be available at Kwik-Kliks. I will do a post when they are done though. If you want something specially designed be in touch and I will do one up for you for a small fee of $20.

February 123 Challenge

Had a week or so off from scrapboooking because my mum was visiting, my brother in law was visiting and my lovely Aunty Jo died! Everything kind of all happens at the same time. Was so lovely to see my mum and I actually managed to get a few photos of her - normally this is impossible as she hates her photo taken. Well guess who will be in a scrapbook page sometime soon!

Anyway this is my LO a "Star" @ 2 for the February 123 Challenge. Had to use a transparency, journalling strips and a number in the title. Great challenge to do. Was one of the first to do the "Show us your heart" part of the challenge and one of the last to do the layout! LOL! Best be paying attention to the rapidly passing days next month!

Scrap Savvy Random Challenge

This is the layout that I did for Sarah's 5,4,3,2,1 Random Challenge at Scrap Therapy. Had to use 5 buttons, 4 different patterned papers, 3 photos, 2 types of ribbon and 1 journalling tag! Challenge closes at the end of February so there is still time to get a LO done if you have a bit of time on your hands!

Scrap Therapy February Cybercrop

This is my LO for Challenge 3 of the cybercrop at Scrap Therapy this weekend. Given it is February and that means "LOVE" that was the theme of the crop. No one else I would rather scrap than my hubby!

This one was for Challenge One. Challenge was to use pink and red as the predominant colours! I spend ages doing LO's. I am not a quick scrapper at all and I love using all sorts of different techniques on my page too.

123 Challenge have a great competition on this month - as well as having their usual monthly challenge they have co-ordinated it with a great cause to raise money for the Mirabel

Foundation. You can use any medium, any products, any materials, you just need to make a heart. Go to their site to check out the details.

In the last couple of days I have been doing a bit more work on my website Kwik-Kliks and organised some of the links. There are now over 20 sites listed that regularly have challenges. So if you are a challenge junkie then check it out! I have also opened up a forum for people to join

I am participating in the Scrap Therapy Cybercrop this weekend. Actually getting around to doing some layouts of my hubby!

This is my LO for the monthly challenge at Scrap Therapy. Had to do a layout that celebrated me, like any achievements I've had or just a LO celebrating who I am. Did a LO celebrating my creativity - without it I wouldn't be able to do such enjoyable things like scrapbooking!

I love these photos that I took of the kids the other day! Had to do something with them as soon as possible of course. Decided that 2am was long enough to stay up this morning fiddling around with ideas for it! I am fairly pleased with the result too which is always a bonus!

I found Page Maps the other day thanks to my sister. It is quite useful as far as layout sketches go. Have a link to them in my Links column. Great to print the pages out and have them as a handy reference nearby when you have some scrapping to do.

Bone Carving

Tried my hand at doing a bone carving this week, did one in high school years ago but haven't actually done one from start to finish. It is a Kowhai flower stylised a bit! Was fairly easy to do and quite therapeutic. Took about 8 hours all up to do (plus 8 hours to boil the fat out of the cow bone).

This year I turned 31. Spent the morning with kids. I drove to Melbourne in the afternoon to pick up DH who arrived at 2am the next day. Stayed the night at the Hilton and pigged out on room service and watched movies. Did my nails and my hair - gave myself a bit of pampering.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
If I liked it and it fitted I bought it.

32. What kept you sane? 
Thoughts of seeing my family.

Finding time to scrap

DH has been back from sea from just over a week! He is time consuming (in the nicest possible way! LOL). I have all these LO's to do and the last day of the month is tomorrow! Guess I will have to miss out on several cahllenges this month. Can only make time for the Scrapping with the Stars Challenge on Scrap Therapy. Have to do the 5th challenge by Monday I think for the 3D challenge. If DH is going to put this much of a spanner in the works imagine what is going to happen in the school holidays when DD is home too! Oh help....

Thought I would do a special page for Ysabelle. Belle went to a Highland Dancing Comp on the 17th of November and won a couple of silver medals and ribbons for her efforts.

Took this photo when we were in Dubai. Have always liked the colours in the photo and wanted to do a LO that brought out the pinks and greens in it. Not to be outdone by my sister Beverley I thought I would try my hand at a "Jack"! (Actually got inspiration for two pages from it but this is it. Just got some photos of my grandparents and my parents wedding so thought I would "marry" them all up. Progression from then to now - then being smaller because it is more distant I suppose you could say. Biggest one is mine and my husbands as obviously it was more recent. Oh well that was fun - nothing like a challenge to get you inspired!!

Just got the grandparents weddings to do and mine - I should do all the siblings to - guess that only means I have 7 more wedding pages to do - more if I do multiple one for me! Finally picked up the courage to conquer a pretty page for Belle - was even brave enough to put some flowers on (wasn't so hard). I found that my local scrapbook shop had a lovely range of papers called "Baby Cakes". Nice dark Save Nowpinks - not too candy like. Got some Bella! Chipz for the lettering which I painted. I really like the velvet shapes that you can colour with chalk pastels to suit your project. Very happy with how this page turned out!
